MEET OUR TEAM
DR. AHMED SHARAF, DDS
Dr. Ahmed Sharaf (AKA Dr. A) moved to Ottawa soon after graduation from McGill University Dental School in the year 2000. In 2003, the Strandherd Dental Centre was established in Barrhaven to serve Ottawa and the surrounding area. In 2012, Dr. Sharaf moved his practice to the U dental building on Merivale Road.
Dr. Sharaf is certified by the Canadian and American Dental boards and is a member of the Ontario and Ottawa Dental societies. He is well known for his friendly and gentle demeanour among his patients of all ages. His dedication to delivering quality dentistry with relaxing humour makes even the most anxious patients at ease. Dr. Sharaf has a passion for Root canal therapy and aesthetic (cosmetic) Dentistry. In his spare time, Dr. Sharaf enjoys soccer, squash and spending time outdoors with his family.
Dr. Sharaf can serve you in English, French, and Arabic.
DELPHINE WAVELET - OFFICE MANAGER
Delphine (affectionately called Del) graduated from the faculty of dentistry at the University of Lille, France. Soon afterwards, she moved to Ottawa to pursue a career in Dentistry. Due to problems with her wrists, Delphine decided to focus on dental administration and management. Delphine is gentle and kind and puts her patient’s well-being and service above all. Del is fond of gardening, sewing, and cooking in her free time.
DR. DIANA R. PACHECO PEREZ, DDS
Dr. Diana R. Pacheco Perez earned her Doctor of Dentistry at the University Carlos J. Finlay in Camagüey, Cuba in 1998. After immigrating to Canada, Dr. Pacheco successfully completed Canada’s National Dental Examining Board Equivalency Process in 2014. She enjoys dental surgery and cosmetic dentistry, and she is always looking to improve her knowledge and skills of the new advances in dental care by taking continuing education courses.
Dr. Pacheco is very excited to be a part of the U Dental team and proud to serve the Nepean community with her compassionate care.
She loves nature, the ocean, food, and spending quality time with her friends, her husband, and two lovely daughters.
DR. DIPAL PATEL, DDS

VLADA - ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Vlada graduated with honours from CDI College and worked as a Dental Assistant for 16 years before joining the U Dental team as an Administrative Assistant. Vlada's goal is to make sure every patient feels comfortable, relaxed, and has a positive dental experience during their visit to U Dental. She is happy to assist you with any insurance, treatment plan, and account-related questions.
In her free time, Vlada loves playing violin and enjoys travelling, hiking, camping and exploring the beauty of Canadian nature with her family and friends.

MADELINE - DENTAL HYGIENIST

I've been working as a dental hygienist since 2017 and started with UDental in 2022. I'm passionate about providing the best dental experience and strive to create a comfortable, caring and professional environment. I especially like working with anxious patients to overcome and improve their experience. I'm proud to work with such a genuinely friendly and talented team. You'll hear a variety of music playing during treatment in my room- I'm happy to take song requests!

Outside of work I love travelling, working out, music, art and spending quality time with friends and family.

Hi, I’m Peiru, and I’ve been working at UDental since 2023. I truly enjoy being part of a team that values high-quality care and a patient-centered approach. Whether I’m preparing the treatment room, assisting during procedures, or helping you feel more at ease, my goal is to make your visit as smooth and comfortable as possible. I believe a friendly smile and a little reassurance can go a long way in making dental visits a positive experience.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing the piano to unwind. On weekends, I love going on road trips with friends and traveling with my family whenever I get the chance. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey to a healthier, happier smile!
